In class on Friday we were asked if the United
States was the greatest country in the world. The class watched a video from a
TV show. In the video, the main character said how America
was in many ways not the greatest country. When the video ended, most of the
class was silent. Mr. Schick then asked the class if we agreed with the main
character. Most of the class thought the United States wasn't the greatest country
and explained why, such as the employment rate and the amount of people who
voted. The rest of the people that said America was the greatest country in the
world, they said that they cannot talk about U.S. because we were born and
raised in the United States. In my opinion, America could become the greatest country
in the world like it once was, back when it had a strong economy and people
were proud to be Americans.
